Your Future in Finance
Your Future in Finance (YFIF) is BUFC’s premier event of the fall semester. It involves hearing from great BU alumni who serve as leaders in the industry. It is broken up into five sections starting out with a morning panel followed by two breakout sessions, a keynote speaker, and ends with a networking opportunity for students. The event serves as a critical opportunity for BUFC students to better understand what roles in the finance industry look like and how best to position themselves to enter the industry. All the advice shared by our incredible alumni base will prove fundamental in paving the career path of many if not all attending members. Investor Summit
Every year, the Finance and Investment Club Investment Management team, along with the Alumni Development Office, host an investment summit where we present sample investment recommendations, fund updates, and strategic changes being made in the club to solicit feedback from an audience of senior alumni. Wall Street Trip
The annual Wall Street trip is a special opportunity for students to connect with alumni at their office to learn about a day in the life on Wall Street. Every spring, around 100 talented and ambitious students from the club visit NYC for two days to engage with alumni in open-floor networking and visits to various financial services firms throughout Manhattan. Boston Firm trek
Every Fall, the Finance and Investment Club members have the opportunity to visit several financial firms in the greater Boston area to get an insight into the finance industry. This event gives our students an opportunity to build their professional networks and prepare for the recruitment season.
