Sajal is serving as the President of BU Finance & Investment Club for the 2019-2020 school year. Prior to that, Sajal was involved as the VP of IR, a Senior Analyst, and a Junior Analyst. Most recently, Sajal interned at Raymond James in their Technology Investment Banking group. In the past, he has interned in investment banking, investments, and research. Sajal is expected to graduate in 2020 from the Questrom School of Business with a concentration in finance.
Vice President of Operations
Vidur is a junior from Palo Alto, California studying Finance at the Questrom School of Business. He has experience working on the Corporate Development M&A team at TIBCO Software, a portfolio company of Vista Equity Partners. He also has experience in Investment Management and Corporate Finance roles. Previously in BUFC he has been involved as both a Senior and Junior Analyst. In his free time, Vidur enjoys playing baseball, flying aircraft, and is a Cadet Officer with the Volunteer Auxilary of the United States Air Force: Civil Air Patrol.
Vice President of Investment Management
Alec is from Fremont, California and is currently a senior studying Finance and Information Systems at the Questrom School of Business. He worked in credit research for an asset manager during his junior year summer, previously worked in investment research for a family office and leveraged finance for a bank. Previously, he has served as the student fund’s Sector Head of TMT. Outside of BUFC, Alec enjoys playing pickup basketball, trail-running and swimming.
Vice President of Quantitative Strategy
Ivan is a junior from Kyiv, Ukraine who is studying Finance at the Questrom School of Business and is deeply engaged with statistical analysis. Currently, he works within a research group with professor Metcalfe and focuses on data analysis of business operations. During his free time, he enjoys skiing and playing board games.
Chief Risk Analyst
Subaru is a junior from Windham, New York. He is studying Finance and Accounting in the Questrom School of Business. Subaru joined BUFC during his first semester at BU as a junior analyst in the Industrials sector, then moved on to become an Investment Associate, before starting as the Chief Risk Analyst of the equity fund. He has worked in Investment Research at Timber Creek Management and is also a member of the Japanese Student’s Association Executive Board. During his time outside of class, work, and the finance club, he enjoys traveling and playing sports such as baseball, soccer, and basketball.
Vice President of Investment Research
Thanweer Ahmed is a junior from Ridgefield Park, New Jersey who is studying Finance and Accounting with a minor in Mathematics. He has experience as an Investment Banking Spring Analyst at G2 Capital Advisors and a Private Equity Intern at Search Fund Accelerator. He has been both a Junior Analyst and a Senior Analyst within the Investment Research team and is now leading the team as one of the two Vice Presidents of Investment Research. Outside of academics, he enjoys watching sports and traveling.
Vice President of Corporate Relations
Joshua Kashani, rising junior originally from Dubai, UAE who is majoring in Economics and Business with a concentration in Finance. Most recently, Josh spent the 2019 summer as a Capital Markets intern at Rabobank. Previously he interned at Boston Impact Initiative as an Investment Management Intern. His journey with BUFC started as a Junior Analyst in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector and continued on in TMT to become a Senior Analyst.
Chief Risk Officer
John is currently a senior studying Finance at the Questrom School of Business. Prior to becoming the Chief Risk Officer of the fund, he started as a junior analyst in the TMT sector during his sophomore year and later continued to become an investment associate in the Real Estate sector. In the past, he has interned in different areas of financial services including sell-side equity research, investments, and investment banking. Outside of BUFC, John enjoys swimming, running, and badminton.
