Joshua Kashini
President
Joshua Kashani is a senior originally from Dubai, UAE who is majoring in Economics and Business with a concentration in Finance. Last summer, Josh worked with Oppenheimer’s Investment Banking team and most recently, Josh worked part-time as an Investment Banking intern at Needham and Company. He also spent the 2019 summer as a Capital Markets intern at Rabobank. His journey with BUFC started as a Junior Analyst in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector and continued in TMT to become a Senior Analyst. Outside of school, Josh is an avid film and podcast buff.
Nicholas Sylvia
Vice President of Operations
Nicholas Sylvia is a junior in Questrom concentrating in Finance with a minor in Computer Science. He is currently the Vice President of Operations and previously was a Senior Analyst on the Investment Research side in the Consumer sector. In the future, he aspires to work in alternative asset management, specifically at a hedge fund or fintech company. His previous experience includes working for Search Fund Accelerator: a private equity firm in Boston. Outside of BUFC, he plays as a winger on the BU Men’s Rugby Club and enjoys hiking, biking, soccer, and basketball.
Quentin Taylor
Vice President of Corporate Relations
Quentin Taylor is a junior from Tampa, Florida concentrating in Finance at Questrom and minoring in Political Science. Before becoming VP of Corporate Relations, Quinn was a Senior Analyst in the club, covering Healthcare. Last summer he worked as a Summer Analyst at Momentum Cyber, a boutique investment bank in San Francisco. Before that, he was a Private Equity Summer Analyst at Healthedge Investment Partners back in Tampa. He will be joining Raymond James’ Technology and Services Investment Banking group this upcoming summer. Quinn enjoys watching and playing basketball and golf. He also enjoys traveling in his free time.
Trishanka Khanna
Vice President of Marketing
Trishanka Khanna is a senior concentrating in Finance at Questrom with a minor in Political Science. Before becoming the VP of Marketing, she was a Senior Analyst and a Junior Analyst in the Consumer sector. Last summer Trisha interned at J. P. Morgan in Investment Banking and previously she interned in the Wealth Management sector of Merrill Lynch. Trisha enjoys going to the gym and cooking in her free time.
Tulah Kastali
Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion
Tulah Kastali is a junior concentrating in Finance and Strategy. Her internship experience includes PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Girls Who Invest Program and the Baupost Group which is a Boston-based hedge fund. She plans on going into either investment banking or asset management, and her hobbies include piano, painting, and dance. She is also interested in interior design and fashion.
Jack Burgess
Vice President of Investment Management
Jack Burgess is concentrating in Finance at Questrom with a minor in Computer Science. Before becoming VP of Investment Management, he was the Energy and Materials Sector Head on the IM team. He started in BUFC as a Junior Analyst in the Healthcare Sector. Last summer he interned as a Public Finance Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Bank of America and previously he interned in the finance and accounting division at the Public Service Enterprise Group. When he is not in class nor doing homework, he enjoys rooting for the Green Bay Packers and playing badminton or racquetball with friends.
Kaushal Patel
Vice President of Investment Research
Kaushal Patel is a junior in Questrom concentrating in Finance, Accounting and dual majoring in Economics. In the past, he has interned at an Investment Management firm and that is where his interest in Finance started. Kaushal hopes to pursue Investment Banking in the future. On-campus, he is a member of the club cricket team and Alpha Kappa Psi, along with being a huge sports fan with the Patriots being his favorite team.
James Bishop
Vice President of Quantitative Strategy
James Bishop is a rising senior in CAS majoring in Computer Sciences and Statistics and minoring in Economics. Last summer, he worked for Citigroup in New York as a sales and trading intern, and previously he worked for Overseas Development Institute in London researching poverty economics and ESG. In the future, he plans to pursue a quant trader role. In his free time, he competes in powerlifting and plays the cello.
Myles Hayes
Vice President of Quantitative Strategy
Myles is a rising senior from Long Island, New York studying computer science and mathematics and is pursuing a passion for data sciences and analytics. He joined the Quant Team this past summer and has conducted extensive research on cryptocurrencies and the influence of outside factors on the price and its volatility, such as social media sentiment and power consumption. Myles interned at Raytheon this summer as a software engineer and has previously interned as a data scientist for an Indy Pro 2000 racing team. Outside of academics, Myles’ biggest passion is seeing live music and watching sports.
